Part-Time Activity Developer & Trainer
About the Role:
We are a recruiting company currently partnering with a compassionate and community-focused adult day care center to help them find their next Activity Developer & Trainer. This center is dedicated to creating a warm, engaging, and enriching environment for older adults, and they’re looking for someone creative, experienced, and passionate about meaningful activity programming.
Position Summary:
The Activity Developer & Trainer will design monthly activity calendars and visit the adult day care weekly (for 3–4 hours) to train staff on how to lead those activities with enthusiasm and empathy.

Key Responsibilities:
Develop monthly activity plans that are stimulating, age-appropriate, and tailored to the cognitive and physical needs of older adults.
Visit the adult day care center weekly to train staff on how to execute the planned activities effectively.
Provide tools, materials, and guidance to ensure smooth implementation of the programs.
Incorporate a variety of activities such as arts & crafts, music, light physical movement, brain games, seasonal themes, and more.
Collaborate with staff for feedback and continuously improve program quality.
Stay informed on trends and best practices in recreational and therapeutic activities for older adults.
Qualifications:
Experience in activity planning, recreational therapy, occupational therapy, or a related field.
Previous experience working with older adults in a daycare, assisted living, or similar setting.
Strong leadership, communication, and training abilities.
A creative mindset with a passion for enhancing the lives of seniors.
Reliable and organized, with the ability to commit to 3–4 hours on-site per week.
